My usual writing process is hard for me to describe. I've never really been any good at writing, it has been a challenge for me in the past. I have always tried to focus on my own personal experiences to get an peoples attention. I believe that if you can bring personal situations related to the subject it makes it more interesting. When I was in high school (let me tell you that was a long time ago) I had a hard time writing anything. I believe that now that I am older and have experienced life that I have more interesting things to tell about. Like my kids, and the hardship we've been through, also all the wonderful times we've had. I believe that is the stuff people want to hear about. People love drama when it's not their own, or so it always seems. I've took a lot child psychology courses, and it seems I had a lot to write about because of my experience taking care of children. That would probably be the easiest writing I have ever done in my life. Experience in life pays off when it comes to writing essays and short stories.

Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI have had the same problem with the writing. I to have a hard time writing. Only if we could write about our children the stories would be never ending and a lot easier to write. I have a two year old little boy and I could talk about him for days.
I hate drama. But, I do appreciate a story line that may be similar to ones own life. I also believe in this medium those of us with some maturity shall we say can maybe have a positive influence and impact on some of the up and comers shall we also say. Wow, my goal was to stay politically correct and so far I have. I use to be uncomfortable getting personal in my writing, but found that adding that tangible personal touch gives the audience a vision of what you are writing about because it makes it somewhat real. And just maybe with our experiences that we leave in written form her, may have a positive influence on those around us. And unfortunately yes you are right. Some people love drama. I think we can all see that on face book...Laughing out Loud...
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteI agree that adding personal information makes writing more interesting to read. Maybe that is just because I love reading about people who live lives completely different than mine. It lets me learn about other people and gain insight in the world. That might not make sense to anyone but me, but hey, that's just me. ha ha
I have a hard time writing as well unless I can relate my own personal experiences to what I am writing about. It seems to be more comfortable that way. I think it helps the reader relate to the write as well. I tend to find it very difficult to write even a research paper without getting my own point of view all over the paper.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your replies. I agree with you all, I dislike drama and yes we can view that on facebook. I like writing about my life because I love my life, and it's easier to write about something that you love. Thank you all
